If you are having ANY problem with your mill, check your teeth first. They should be sharp and square and at a 45* angle. 

Good, sharp teeth are the most important part of your saw. Keep your blade stiff and straight by always making sure you are using SHARP, STRAIGHT teeth! Rounding at the corners will cause wear and heating of your blade… replacement blades are not cheap. Hammering takes time.

Save yourself unnecessary headaches and hassles and make sure you always have a fresh set of teeth ready to go!

Stellite inlaid saw teeth! The “goldilocks” of sawteeth options that gets super sharp, stays sharp, and is resilient when you hit something that shouldn’t have been in the log in the first place.

These start as the red box standard “blue tip” teeth (you’ve probably seen them for about $2/ea), but they are then stellite hard-faced and ground by the ONE and ONLY LeRoy. After being hard-faced they are then heat treated making them even harder and longer lasting.

Our Stellite inlaid saw teeth stay sharp 10x longer than blue tip so you can cut more before you need to stop and sharpen. Yes, they are a bit expensive, but for 4x the price you get 10x the cutting. That’s value.

Stellite is more resilient than carbide ($11/tooth) which tends to chip if you hit rocks or nails – yes, carbide will last probably 50x longer than “blue tip”… if you don’t hit anything solid. If you hit something hard with our Stellite inlaid teeth they just need to be ground back down and they’re ready to go again.

TIP! Store your teeth in sets and run them in sets and dispose of them in SETS! Keeping your teeth all the same size saves wear and tear on your blades so you get more cut more easily.
