If you somehow messed up your mainshaft (usually a bearing went bad and it wore the shaft)… bummer. If your mill is a 127 with 5 belts on the edger shaft pulley, it’s going to require a lot of head scratching to upgrade to this main shaft (has 6 belt grooves for edger shaft).

You would think you could just not put on all 6 belts, but the 127 5EB mills have some ‘strongbacks’ in positions that will require either disposing of them all together or moving them.

We have not done that in the shop yet – just got it put together enough to know it doesn’t work and don’t want to figure that out right now.

You’ll also need to upgrade your edger pulley (sheave) to a 6EB or PB (powerband).
