As this is a new product offering, first run of kits will only be factory installed until we have the process documentation completed well enough that the instructions are good enough for DIY installation and then we will sell them as DIY kits.

Installation will require cutting of the carriage plate. It should be able to be done with a grinding wheel though a plasma would be cleaner. The parts will be on a plate that will cover any “butchery” to maintain the “aesthetic” of the mill.

There is a lot we don’t know we don’t know just because we haven’t stumbled thru it all the way yet. We have 3 carriages to do and if we feel confident we have the process fully documented and we have run into the worst and weirdest happenings, then we will offer the kits as DIY. Instructions are likely to include a video and written instructions.

Kit should be mostly pre-assembled parts that will just need to be installed into place located using holes already in the carriage. Anyone taking apart or putting together a mill should have a decent press or be really fancy with a vice.

Factory Installation… we will only be doing them with full refurbs. Refurb labor is flat rate $7,000 and includes all new bearings, belts, hardware, chain. Every mill is complete disassembled, blasted to bare metal, painted, reassembled. Mechanical parts removed for hydrostatic installation will be kept by us and resold as refurbished parts to keep those older mills going.
Carriages will be run on track with an engine to ensure everything is adjusted properly and working correctly.
