This heavy duty part is machined with a groove in the middle so it can be pulled off with a gear puller when the time comes to take it off.

When putting the part on, use a generous amount of “Never-Sieze”… this part is a chore to get off at the best of times…
IF you have an old-style one (no groove) that is stuck to the main shaft, the best way to get it off is to weld tabs to the side and use a gear puller.
